The Viewpoint Collection
With the collapse of the Woodbridge Group of Companies in 2017, the Securities and Exchange Commission ordered a restructuring in an effort to complete construction and sell one of the most ambitious residential property portfolios in history. Over 8,400 retail investors from all walks of life had been defrauded in the five year life of the scheme, and 200 properties from empty lots to iconic homes were left in various stages of construction, abandonment, or foreclosure.
The reorganized entity, under new leadership from 2018, was known as The Viewpoint Collection, and during the five years of its existence, was the premier developer of luxury homes in Los Angeles, operating in neighborhoods such as Beverly Hills, Hidden Hills, West Hollywood, Bel-Air and the Hollywood Hills.
I was selected as the exclusive photographer of the ~$1.2 billion property portfolio; consisting of homes designed by world-class architects and built by some of the finest residential construction firms in the world. Photography took place immediately upon completion of every home; a full exploration of every project consisting of multiple visits to each was necessary to create the stunning images you see on these pages.
The results of an exceptional marketing campaign and unwavering commitment to quality from every party involved was an unprecedented recovery of funds for the thousands of victims of the original Woodbridge Ponzi scheme.
The incredible success of the Viewpoint Collection and the resulting portfolio of images has been documented in the book A View From The Top.
